New Web Design 12/09/2009
It's been a long time coming but I've finally got the new Lighthouse website up and running. I still have stuff to add (it's amazing how long this takes) but I'm interested in your comments. I've never written a blog before (haven't even read too many - never seem to have enough time) but think it's a good way to get connected. So please let me know what you think. AND a fine job you've done Brenda. Your job here is like mine.....keep those good memories and folks from the past alive and well.

Brenda, you're so multi-talented! It must be what rubs off on Paul? 40 years of sunny days-no kidding! Wilma and I wish you and Paul and the band a lovely 'bask in the warmth of your fans admiration' holiday season.

Hey, Brenda...great bands come, and go, but Lighthouse will always stand out to me the most...I used to date Bob McBride way back in the days of Charlie Brown`s bohemian hangout in Yorkville Village..at that time(1964-6), I was hanging out with the MynaBirds, and WeeBeasties, was introduced to Bob, who had formed a band with his brother, Danny, called the Shades.Bob had such a beautiful voice, that one could not help falling for him, and we became fast friends..I was very young then(16), and moved back to Oakville with my parents, so the romance ended, and distance grew between us..When I heard of his death, I was shocked, because I really did hope that he would clean himself up, and get on with his singing career..what a waste of talent..I always regret moving back to the country, and what might have been..Cheers, DianMarie

The site looks great! You think you can get a bit more sleep now? Oh, I voted. Wish I could vote more songs.

Hi Brenda, great job on the website. Love all the great Lighthouse memories. The Queen Elizabeth Theatre show was amazing. You seem to be multi talented. I read a lot of music biographies. How about authoring a book about Lighthouse. With all the history it could be great. Thanks again for all your work!

Leave a Reply | Brenda HoffertI have a long-standing relationship with Lighthouse. I'm married to Paul so I was around for the very first rehearsal (in our garage!!); I'm a song-writer & have collaborated with Paul on some LH songs (Never Say Goodbye, Fly My Airplane & Lonely Places); I'm a writer & producer and have been involved in that capacity on various LH projects (One Fine Weekend, The Best of Lighthouse/Sunny Days Again, Song of the Ages, 40 Years of Sunny Days and a new project we're just getting off the ground - One Fine Story); I've been exhibiting extensively as a fine art photographer since 2005 (www.brendahoffert.com) and have taken all the new shots of the band that are on the site; I've been the band's manager since LH reunited in 1992. Though I was just going to do it for a while it became an addiction 'cause most of all - I'm Lighthouse's biggest fan!! Categories |
